Hi, I don't even know if i'm posting in the right forum here, feel free to move me if i'm wrong!
Basically I was deleteing programes on my laptop the other day and by mistake i deleted something called 'Multimedia Audio Controller'... Turns out it does what it says on the tin and as a result the sound on my laptop has stopped working! If any of you people in the know have any idea how i might be able to fix this or where i can get the program again I would be eternally grateful because I need to use my computer for film editing in college and sound is pretty important!!
    Thanks in advance!

What you need to do is install your sound drivers again. Go to the laptop makers website and check out the support/drivers section.

Or if your on winxp you can do a system restore. This wont remove any of yoru doccuments, but will put your drivers back to the way it was.

Yeah win xp. You wont loose any data or anything. All a system restore does is restore system files to a previous state.

If you still have no luck, use Microsofts Update feature: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/.
Sometimes when the website accesses the state of your system, it notices you need drivers that are missing.
    Its also worth a try...

    Hope you get sorted. :)
