    hi all,

    im sure dare are many lik myself hu are not 18(til march) when startin college in dit.

    i was wonderin do u need id to get into pubs,events,freshers week etc..??

    and are day strict bout dis?

    Pubs: very strict. You'll definitely need an ID.

    All other events require an ID of some sort, but the good news is, you may be able to go to them if you're under 18. I don't know about freshers' week, but college is quite strict about under-18's drinking.

    its a bit of a grey area ...

    some places you will ... some you wont ...

    wear a pair of jeans at least an maybe a decent T-shirt and look the part (or if your a girl ... some cleavage)... maybe get some1 to grab your 1st few pints or whatever ...

    Hey there.

    I'm not going to lie to you. You are actually screwed. You'll need to find someone with an ID that resembles you I'm afraid. Pubs and clubs will accept only Passport, Drivers License or Garda card. The odd time you'll just need a student card.

    Have any big brothers/sisters who are older than you? If you do, then get them to apply for another drivers license or learners permit, and work on taking a photo of them tha you could pass for. That should do it.

    Oh, or just try wiggle your way into house parties!! That's where the best 'tang is, m'boy!!

    I had just turned 17 three weeks before I started college. Was ****e, but you'll just have to borrow an ID for going out. Even still, be prepared to be shot down from many places :mad:

    I am being silly and asking for stuff that is not legal on a public forum, I apologise, especially since the kind mod merely deleted the offending item in my previous post and let it slide, I understand I wont be getting anymore chances with this topic again.
