Hey! I kind of know how you feel, my bf was gone for a while a year ago. The best thing to do this moment is to find something that will keep you very busy, to keep away the sad thoughts.
It will be quite hard, but if you love each other very much you will get through this :D
    Good luck!

No offence, but end the relationship... College can be wild, with freshers week, rag week and every other week for that matter. I have no doubt in my mind that you can be loyal to your other half while in college. Same goes for work or travelling. I must ask you though, do you trust him, or does he trust you enough for either of you not to worry. No point in pining for him for the next 4 years. This is the greatest time of your life, ENJOY IT!!!

You will have your summers together, christmas, the odd weeked, but is that enough? I know it wouldn't be for me. Anyways, college life is just full of temptations, believe me...

I am being realistic about it. It happened me twice and in both cases we decided to end the relationship, one of 3.5 years and another of 1 year, in my experience it is best to move on. Another thing I might add, college can, and in most cases will, change a persons character and their views on certain things. Just to keep in mind.

What ever you chose make sure it is for the best, for both of you. Good luck in college. Enjoy it.

I couldn't have put it better myself.

I recently ended a relationship, and though I regretted it pretty much straight away (I love the girl still) I know I won't be able to start it again, due to college and the fact I wouldn't see her ever. It's best to move on, in my opinion, and just let yoruself free and have fun.

I was going out with a girl from the same school as me. After the leaving I went to CIT and she went to England to study a course. We tried to keep it together for about 4 months, it was on again off again. Eventually we ended and it was even too difficult to stay in touch. Fast forward 3 years and we hooked up completely randomly. Fast forward another 7 years and we have been married for 5 years and are expecting our second baby.

Bottom line you have more important things to consider in your life. If ye are meant to be ye will be regardless of what ye throw at it. If not, well not harm either way.
