I am having trouble getting videos onto an iTouch. I have a folder with a load of .avi films but itunes doesnt recognise the films in there when I add the folder to the itunes library. Any ideas?

The touch doesn't support avi so you'll have to convert it. The touch supports mp4, mov and m4v video formats.

Can anyone recommend software to carry out the conversion? Thanks....

How to you map the file you want to convert? Any idea's? I've tried adding to library before converting. Not working for me.

Have downloaded that. Seems to be coverting using a DOS type screen. How long for an average DVD to convert? And how do you know when it's finished? Thanks

at a rough guess, it takes about 3/4 of the length of the movie to convert (I usually convert from avi). When it's finished, the dos window closes - I usually convert movies in batches of four or five and kick it off overnight.
