There's a lot of acts on this year, a load of whom I wouldn't know a great deal about yet. Anyone got any recommendations for must-see gigs over the festival?

I presume the Nurse With Wound tickets have been bought already John? :D

I've no recommendations, but I'll definitely be heading along to a few myself.

I'm sorely tempted to head to Nurse With Wound but with it being on a school night and having to pay 50 euro for a train up i'm not sure if it's gonna be happening or not.

I'm not sure exactly what you're into Daddio but maybe try checking out Ebola, Trans Am, Poets of Rhythm, Laurent Garnier and possibly Daedelus (i wasn't really into him at all until I saw him at Mantua where he blew the place apart)

Ooh, and White Noise too. :)

Donal Dineen is always worth seeing too if you manage to stumble across him over the festival.

They're the ones i'd be looking out for anyway.

I'm definitely going to get to at least the closing gigs to include Model 500, Moritz Von Oswald, Vladislav Delay and Laurent Garnier. Especially Model 500 having never played in Ireland before!!!

Vladislav Delay??? Really? Is that the closing party?

Cheers ANarcho, i'll do a bit of research into those.

That's Vladislav in his feckin' wonderful studio. Check out those white rack synths in the background.

You presume correctly. Wild horses couldn't drag me away.

I haven't decided what else to go to, lots of things I don't know and other things I know that I'm not sure about. Maybe I'll go to White Noise but I'm a bit anxious as to how it will sound (love An Electric Storm to bits and don't want it spoiled). I don't really know Model 500, links/recommendations?

Yeah he is playing as part of the Moritz Von Oswald Trio -

Be interesting to hear them together, haven't before. I expect good things though!

I'd like to go see Luke Vibert but I'm not sure what the story with tickets is.

Damn, didn't see this with the site being down and didn't see you there :(

In any case, cracking show. I loved it (as expected). "My Lovely Horse" was brilliant!

I've just been at the Poets of Rhythm gig. had to leave before steinski and Daedalus unfortunately. What were they like? Would have liked to have seen Daedalus in particular.

I really enjoyed the Poets of Rhythm though. They werent what I was expecting at all.

Model 500 were excellent, played a good selection of their classics and some heavier stuff I wasn't that familiar with. Not a huge reaction from the crowd though, the youth of today :D

The Moritz Von Oswald Trio was cancelled which was a real shame, seemingly one of them was sick - had been really looking forward to hearing them :(

Laurent Garnier did his usual thing which was very good too, but I left earlier to avoid the crowds (I think that comes with age!).

I wasnt into the closing gig much at all. Couldnt get into Model 500 and I thought Garnier was muck. Organisation was a bit hairy too...
