    Hi guys,
My boss has just told me to present a case in about 24 hours time. it's acse of childhood inluenza B encephalitis. She's said to me that there's a recent review article on the topic. but she can't remember where/when it was published. she wants me to talk about that too.

But I can't find it anywhere.

Anyone know ehre I can find it by any chance? Has anyone read it?

    Cheers.

Here's a recent paper that may be what she was referring to, but she should have been more specific!

    Pediatr Infect Dis J
    . 2008 May;27(5):390-5. Acute childhood encephalitis and encephalopathy associated with influenza: a prospective 11-year review. Amin R, Ford-Jones E, Richardson SE, MacGregor D, Tellier R, Heurter H, Fearon M, Bitnun A.

And here is a less recent review:
Clin Infect Dis. 2003 Apr 1;36(7):e87-95. Encephalitis associated with influenza B virus infection in 2 children and a review of the literature. Newland JG, Romero JR, Varman M, Drake C, Holst A, Safranek T, Subbarao K.

    K.

Cheers mate. Bloody right she should have been!

I found those 2 papers, but by the sonds of it she seems to think there is something more recent. I'm just going to talk about them, and I'm sure that will be fine.

Thanks for having a look. much appreciated.

Cheers mate, but that wasnt it. It was the first one that 2scoops mentioned. A case series of kids in Toronto with encephalitis. Already did it today. Went better than I'd expected, too.
