Music Production Courses

Music Production, specifically making music through computer technology and synthesisers, is an interest of mine. Irish colleges don't seem to do it as a course, they only have music technology. The LIT course with the words Music and Production in its title, is (mehears) more engineering (also a word in the title). Can anyone suggest a college that will have the course or give me a better understanding of what music technology and sound engineering are about (not gonna rule them out yet)? I've been looking at Scotland but still don't know where to go...
