DUB flightpaths changing?

I have noticed that the landing and take-off flightpaths around DUB have tended to change every 2/3 days the last couple of weeks. Is there any info on this? What's the reason behind it?

The wind. It determines direction of take off and landing.

They were using 34/16 on Wednesday due to wind direction (I think). 28/10 has been closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the last few months due to maintenance so 34/16 has been active.

As ronnie says. A plane needs to take off/land into the wind(increase airflow over wing).

Usually when there is a strong wind from the south they use runway 16 which means they approach over North Dublin. You can get very close to the landing aircraft when they use this runway its great.

I can always tell when they've decided to change from normal flight paths in the airport. As they usually fly over finglas when they do
