i am using igoogle in google's browser Chrome-in igoogle a pop up states that google's server is requesting a user name and password. i am logged into igoogle but the pop up does not accept the igoogle log on details. any idea?

Perhaps it is something on your igoogle page - not your gmail but one of your widgets.
