    Go to woodies,
    buy a new socket,
turn off the sockets at the fuse box,
    fit the new socket.

before you do anything take a pic of the socket showing the cables etc and post it here.

a wholesaler can be better value then a hardware, might work out better for you.

what colours are the cables, black and blues connect to the N on a new socket, and brown and red connect to L.

Green to the earth, there might be exposed copper earths on old sockets, these need to be covered with green and yellow colouring

The power to the sockets has to be off before you touch this.

but if you can please post the pic, we can give you a direct answer with it.

the problem may not be the socket,
it probaly is a case of the back box becoming loose due to shody workmanship.

as stoner rightly suggested a photograph of said socket should shed a lot of light on the what exactly the problem is.
