Heading to Youghal next weekend on my stag and have not been therel in many a year.

I docked there when I was on the Asgard during a trip in my last year in Secondary school, so a few years have passed and unlike the ship I don't want anything sinking next weekend ;) (lets hope they raise her)

Wondering if there are any recommendations from the locals, as to where is good for an eclectic bunch which includes my dad, my future father in law and two brothers in law that are just shy of 18 in Nov, but with more fake ids than Jason Bourne.

Aside from the Nook and Moby Dicks what would folks recommend. Good quality pubs with character are probably the ideal choice, but with a few singles they no doubt will need to see some glamouress ladies and a nightclub.

So any good pubs to receommend and is the Quays the place to go?

    Hi ya,

Im from Youghal myself not living there at present but still go out down there on occasion.

The best pubs to go to are the Quays which is also a night club up stairs http://thequaysyoughal.com/ , there is another bar called JD's John Doyles which is very popular with young and old and they have live bands in there, also accross the road there is the Gate and the Usual place these are located at the clock gate on the main street.

Places to eat depending on what you want to spend there is carvery in the Red Store or you can book to go for dinner in there up stairs that is also a bar, there is Aherns Seafood Restaurant expensive but tasty http://www.ahernes.net/ , there is a chinese restaurant on the main street called Pak foo Gardens which is fab, there is also an Indian there too and there are loads of coffee shops around. Here is a list of more places to eat http://www.irishtourist.com/directory/eating_out/southwest/cork/east_cork/youghal/

After a fist full of drink Doyles Chipper is the place to fill your stomach as it has the best chips around :D

If you need anything else just PM and il let you know :)
