Ok not trying to start a discussion on size am happy etc,
was watching sex education show on c4 and they reckon average girth size is 12mm (think mm is correct citation) anyway 12, i did quick measure and I am 11.5 approx,
Anyway being using durex extra safe and mates extra pleasure but find them a little bit loose, anyway else having this problem?
The c4 show said durex close fit were good if were below 12 (and I think it was mates conform) but emailed durex and they said close fit not available in Ireland and all ones available are same size.

Sorry for long message, my questions are

    - how tight fitting should a condom be?
    - has anybody else being average/slightly less than average used durex close fit or others and did it make difference?

    - if yes to above is worth buying close fit online and are there reputable sites that have them?

    A drinking straw would be 12mm, I hope 12cm is meant. :)

ok sorry bout that, it was obviously cm, my mistake, so 0.5 below average is the point I was making. Sorry for the first inaccurate measurement statement, but my queries remain the same.

Most condoms have a nominal width of 54-58mm.

    The average is 56mm.

    54mm is obviously tighter fitting.

It is stated on the back of the box.

Durex ribbed has a nominal width of 54mm as I remember.

Look for brands with a smaller nominal width and you will be sorted!!!

I have searched boots and tesco and they just seem to carry the standard sizes ones, any ideas where I could get the close fitting ones?

Surely it doesn't make sense to have just one width condom generally available when there are all different size of men out there?

Such is life and supply and demand.
I would suggest that if you are in dublin you go to condom power on dame st or you can ring them before you go in or order from them online.

ok so I ordered some durex close fit on line and guess what ........... they are too tight. Very difficult to pull them down full length properly. And just seem to literally pop off causing us abit of frustration

My problem may have been not putting the standard ones on properly, pull back foreskin or don't etc? and was probably rushing too much.

Still though I am not that comfortable with out holding the condom in place and long term this is not what I want to be doing. Have others found this?

Have you tried Boots or Superdrug?
In my experience, the only way to sort this out is to try several different sizes and brands until you find a type that doesn't fall off and doesn't cut off your blood supply. I would recommend Bennetton condoms if it's really tiny... :)
    Good luck!

I had the same problem but from another angle, I didn't find the fit one because the one I buy is like cutting the blood flood right from the edge as it is around 7.3 Inch (18.5 cm) and girth of 17 cm it is really painful and didn't find the fit one too, any advice on where can i find the fit one, Thx

Ben Yafa, this thread was posted in 2008 - if you have an issue you wish advice on could you please post your own thread rather than bumping other peoples threads from years ago.

    Many thanks.
