According to my friend, its cos you're on wireless. Just live with it. I'd rather sit through that and play than not play at all.

im using a wired connection i have the ps3 in a dmz on the router. does anyone know how to log onto a upc modem so i can see if its blocking ports. incase i need to set up port forwarding or a dmz on this if supported

You cannot change any settings on UPC's modems.
