i've had my eye on the cleveland hibore xl driver and also a new 3 wood (TM burner or maybe the G10); my question is when is the best time to buy?? Are the sales in the big stores after xmass or will next seasons stuff be out before then meaning a bargain on this years gear?????

    Thanks folks......

I suppose January would be your best bet which allows for new lines to be brought in by the maufacturers and also post christmas sales in the retailers. I'm not sure if either of the models are due to be replaced though but the longer you leave it the more likely it is the price will be lower.

Both the G10 (which I use) and TM 3 woods are awesome.

IMO there might be a slight bias between the two clubs as regards what kind of golfer they cater for - the G10 might suit a lower h'cap and the TM a slightly higher player. The G10 has a smaller head and (especially with the Grafalloy ProLaunch shaft) gives a very penetrating flight, which could also be regarded as too low, for a more casual golfer.

The TM goes miiiiiles. There's quite a difference in head size between this and the Ping. It also flies higher. Looks really nice behind the ball.

There's nothing between the two IMO. I'd be just as happy with the TM I think but very happy with the G10.

I bought stuff off them before and was walloped by Fed Ex for customs.

I had the club sent to a relative who is travelling over this week and is bringing his clubs anyway so I managed to avoid this.

I just collected my new irons, Wilson Ci-6, 3-PW, from the An Post depot yesterday.

Bought on ebay from US, €170 delivered, wasn't caught for customs, compared to €299 in the local shop.

They are the real deal too, not fakes - tried them out on the range, well pleased. They really fly when I connect properly - just have to get more practice & a few rounds in with them now. :D
