RALLY FOR LIFE - Stormont, Belfast, 18th October 2008

    A group of pro-abortion MPs in Westminster have put forward a proposal to extend the 1967 Abortion Act to Northern Ireland, despite strong opposition from our people, politicians, and churches. These MPs arrogantly claim they are representing the people of Northern Ireland.

    In response to this, an historic Pro-Life Rally will take place at Parliament Buildings, Stormont in Belfast on Saturday 18th October 2008 at 1.00pm. The Rally for Life will give the people of Northern Ireland an opportunity to send a clear message to Westminster that we are united in our opposition to the extension of the 1967 Abortion Act, and that we demand our laws continue to protect our unborn babies and their mothers.

    The vote in the House of Commons to extend the 1967 Abortion Act is expected in October or November. At this critical time we must stand up; speak out; and rally together for the right to life of the most vulnerable in society – our unborn children. Everything depends on what we do now.

    We must firmly reject this attempt to force the 1967 Abortion Act on our country.

    The Rally will be addressed by local, national, and international speakers. It is essential that all pro-life people attend this event. If you do only one thing for the pro-life cause this year, let it be this.

    I'm sorry but how does this qualify as a humanities issue?

    There is a 34 page thread on abortion already if you want to discuss your views. Similarly, you could start a discussion thread.

    Otherwise this is just an advert.

    Just to clarify: I'm pro-choice but I would say the same thing if this was for a pro-choice rally.
