good training plan for middle distance races

    hey everyone
    i am intending to do 10k donadea forest run in october any idea where i can get a good training plan for intermediate level ( to help with pace etc...) ?
    Oh by the way , i am from the roscommon , anyone know where there are any good 10k runs over my direction ?
    when does cross country level season start ? are there races for seniors ?

    sorry for loads of different questions under the one thread

    Plenty of Stuff in Galway and Mayo, less so now that the "summer" is over.

    Loughrea 5 miler, soonish, and Athenry 10km 26th December are two big ones.
    Tarmonbarry half marathon - the lowest profile race in the country should be on soon. But I never hear anything about it...

    Soon. County Galway XC [guests welcome] will be on in October. Keep an eye on athenryac.com.

    BTW, Paul McNamara, one of Athenry's finest, lives in Roscommon town and was trying to get a club going for runners again. I'll email him and see whether he has any more info.

    I have run around Moate Park, which is nice. Also out the Athlone road (from Roscommon town) is good for lsr's. Try www.mapmyrun.com or the trail network on motionbased for more suggestions.
