Good news, he clearly is one of the best on the grid and talk of retirement before he is even 30 was silly.

So Ferrari keep the same drivers for at least the next 2 seasons.

    Hard luck Fernando.

It's a little bit of a surprise considering Ferrari have pulled him up both seasons about his attitude (granted he did go on to win the Championship the first season :) ).

    🤪

I really admire Kimi. A very talented driver who never blows his own trumpet. He lets his driving do the talking. Something Hamilton could learn from. Good news that we'll be watching him for another two years, at least.

Is it that, or is it the fact he barely talks at all? :)

So will Alonso now consider Honda's approaches??

I think Alonso has condemned himself to wander the earth for the rest of his career; from fat paycheque to fat paycheque to whatever mid-grid will team pick up the tab.

Surprised to hear this tbh, thought he'd **** off soon enough, he just seems bored with everything.

Still, a ****-up or two from Massa and we'll see what happens :P

I hoped he'd **** off soon. He's a bore. Yeah he's won the Championship, but he has about as much personality as my table.

That is shocking news to me.

Looking at him today he really looked like he couldnt care less and did not really want to be there.

Has'nt looked himself at all this season aside from a few glimpses. He is capable of much much better. Hes a far better driver than Massa for me so its inexcusable that he should be so far behind.

Dont worry about Kimi's Lack of performance. Did you not know it is in his contract to allow Massa become WC this year so as they will have 2 wc's on their team and also to show "Smugface" Hamilton any ferrari driver can whip his A$$ :D

I really think Ferrari have made a huge mistake by not signing Alonso. He have proven himself as one of the best drivers on the grid no matter what car he has. He has his faults, like giving out about the team, but my opinion about him has totally changed since I read David Coulthards autobiography. He basically said that he went through the same thing as Alonso and that Alonso was right. I think he was now. Montoya said the same thing. Dennis has favourites. Thats it.

Yes I agree with you about Alonso but dont Kick Kimi in the teeth just yet
That ferrari is like a wheelbarrow in those conditions as he showed once again he could wipe the field if it were dry,
    Also
Ron Denis should have Kicked Hamiltons Ar$e out the door and kept Alonso. I would bet my bottom dollar that they would have both titles wrapped up by now.

Kimi has set the fastest lap in most of the GP this year. Ferrari have made the right decision to keep him on. Dont forget if it werent for McLarens crap reliability he could have one 2 world championships with them. I hope whoever Alonso ends up with they give him a car to challenge for next year.

That just shows how much he needs to get his head together an drive the whole race.

I agree he needs to be more consistent and more aggressive when he is stuck behind slower cars.

    Yes.
    But
    I have said this before.
Kimi's car handles like a wheelbarro in those conditions. Give him scorching hot weather and he will blitz the field

I love Kimi, he is a huge talent and on his day is the fastest driver on the circuit but lets be honest he has struggled this year.
I agree with previous comments that he seems bored or just not interested now that he has won the championship. Hopefully he can come good last few races, its not over yet. On the decision to keep him at ferarri I am not sure, Alonso is an excellent driver and has outperformed the renault all season.
Should be a terrific end to the season........

DC's book isnt bad at all. It takes the normal format from Karting to Red bull. I never knew the guy had such wonderful sex life !! Some interesting facts like that himself and Hill didnt get on and an interesting behind the scenes insight on what may well have caused Sennas crash ( remember he was Williams test driver at the time )

Anyway, about kimi. Yeah, the Ferrari seems bad in the wet, but its his poor performaces in the dry that I would be worried about. I really do think that Alonso is a much more complete all round driver. I definitly would have waited until maybe June or July of next season before deciding on an extension. I'm sure Alonso would have waited. Where else would be go ? He would have had nothing to loose by waiting
