Volvo Ocean Race

    In case anyone doesn't know we have a Limerick property developer, Ger O'Rourke owner of Chieftain Construction, entering a boat in the Volvo Ocean Race (previously the whitbread) the worlds most demanding and famous offshore race requiring a complete circumnavigation of the globe (see www.volvooceanrace.org). He is currently sailing to Alicante to deliver the boat.

    Irish people have entered two of the seven boats, the other being the Green Dragon Team (http://www.greendragonracing.com/)

    Hopefully should be a very interesting few months following his progress and I look forward to following it.
