Second Life Virual Orientation

Just to remind people that the Second Life Virtual Orientation takes place this evening between 7 and 8.30pm. We've had some queries from students who can't get to the DIT campus from the starting point in Second Life.

Once you have set up an account (avatar) you should be able to open up a new web-browser window and paste in this website address:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Arcata/130/145/54

You may be asked to enter your username and password again, but once you do this you should be brought directly to the DIT campus. (Hopefully)

I'll be keeping one eye on these boards, so if anyone is having difficulty, put up an SOS and we'll do our best to help you.

You need to tell your browser to open that type of link with Second Life, what browser are you using?

hey, i've tried a few times this week to register on second life, but everytime i click the register button a message comes up saying 'Registration unavailable
Linden Lab limits the number of accounts any household or individual may create.
You appear to have exceeded this limit' I know for a fact thats not true though..

naw, that doesnt seem to have worked either.. it's alright, my computers probably just not compatible or something. thanks for the help though.
