Anyone bought one of the refurbished Apple ipods nanos or touchs from the Apple store? Whats the deal with these..are they returned stock or stock that has been repaired? As far as I can see the warranty is still a year...what am I missing? They had a link on their website saying 'click here for more info on refurbished products' but the link is broken! thanks

I bought a second gen refurb black 8 gig nano last year. Not a problem, no scratches, in original box etc etc.

Would you not just buy a 4th gen nano? I lost my nano and had to buy the fat 3rd gen nano, and now feel completely ripped off. Apple musthave known that was a crapily designed nano

These are the latest Nanos as far as I know (the wider ones as opposed to the long skinny ones). Its for my mum whos in her 60's and needs the bigger screen! Good to know the refurb ones are obviously in good nick, thanks for that.

Apple have reverted to the skinny form factor for the new nanos. You'd be waiting a while to see them on the refurb site as they're only going on sale now.

These got reduced in o2 shops. Think it's €119 for 8gb and they're brand new. Check out 5050.ie for refurbs, should be cheaper than apple store and as they are irish, should have quicker too.

Thanks for the 50/50 link..they look great and would like to support an Irish site too. I must also try the O2 shops for the reduced ones..although the new generation ones look very cool..is it only the design that has changed ie all the software is the same?

I'm not saying 5050.ie is a scam website, but bad spelling is usually one of the signs.

    "Laptop Assecories"!!

Yes doesnt look very professional to have misspellings I agree but when you click into the link it is spelled correctly. They have a contact address in Shannon so wouldnt say they are scam. Wonder has anyone purchased before from them?

Edited to add: Have just emailed them to see what they say! :)

Heres their email reply (very prompt)

    Dear XXXX
    Thank you for your inquiry.

Yes we are an Irish company based in Shannon Co. Clare.

Our office and warehousing is based here and we currently dispatch 95%+ of
all items from our facility here in Shannon.

Your comment on the spelling has been passed on to the designers and that
change should be made by the time you receive this email.

If you have any other questions about us or our products please do not
    hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards
