    hey guys

I was just reading aboutt he Golden League on wikipedia just now, where it says it started in 1998. Now, I'm sure I remember something older then that, along the same format, perhaps called the Golden Four?? I think the meets were Oslo, Zurich, Brussels and maybe Berlin but i'm not finding anything on it. I'm talking early nineties, when the meets would be on Channel 4/ITV (and even RTE for a year or two). Am I way wrong or...? Cheers

No your right it was golden 4. First time i remember golden four was sonia winning it in 1992 I think. Used to be on ITV and if Sonia was doing well RTE.

I think it changed to golden league in 98/99.

Wasn't there a golden league of sorts back in the early '80's when the Dubai guys sponsored it. Read about it in the Pat Butcher book about Coe and Ovett and Coghlan mentions in his book too.
