getting a land line connected

    hi lads,
    we are building a house in the country at the moment,
    i rang eircom and the girl said the fee is €121 to get connected,
    ive heard that it can cost a lot more if eircom need to erect a pole but the girl didnt know,
    can anyone help or advise?
