    The Cairn Hill channels are 40-50 so a Group B aerial would probably be better, this is what RTE are recommending on their network website for Cairn Hill, see the frequency chart.....

    thanks for that. the second one is a group b (XB16B) aerial and looks good. Now all I need is someone that stocks them in the midlands

    Try this mob, I have no idea what they're like but I'm sure they can source the aerial and quote you a price to erect it.
