Budget Travel changing Flight Times!!

I'm flying out to Lanzarote on a package deal with Budget this Sunday. I was meant to be departing at 15:20 & the time has now been changed to 08:10. This time does not suit at all & the main reason I went for this hol was because the flights times worked out very well for me.

Has this happened to anyone else?

    Any advice?

And I asked was it because of Futura that my flights had been changed & they saud "no"......

It'll probably say somewhere in your T&C that flights times can be changed at any time. Usually its an hour or two max though

Without trying to be funny, what you like them to do? They're not going to change the flight back to the original time so would you go another day or miss the holiday?

    Thanks for the reply....

I really just wanted to see were I stood with this & to see if anyone elses had been changed. The person on the phone couldn't give me a reason as to why the flight had been changed.

Looks like Ill be up all night on Saturday!! :)

I'm guessing that your original flight was with Futura, who have gone tits-up, so you've been changed onto another airline.

Take a look back at your original paperwork and let us know what the flight number was?

If it was FUAxxx or FGLxxx, then that's why the flights had to change.

    Mick,

Nope...My flights are with Primera JetX.

Looked into this a bit more...Apparently the airline itself has changed their flight time so that's that!

I'm flying with Primera tomorrow and our flight time was changed from 12:30 to 15:30. It happens all the time though and unfortunately, you'll just have to accept it.:)

Have you not the option to cancel? I booked a holiday with Budget travel last year and they changed our flight, we were given the option of a full refund.

Its still probably got something to do with Futura.

Now that they have gone out of business, there is now huge demand for replacement aircraft to carry all the Futura passengers. I would make a guess that your plane has now been given extra trips and they need to get the most out of it, hence reschelduleing of existing flights.

I know its a pain in the ass, but be thankful for what you have - a plane to take you.

Some people may end up with nothing, people who may not have booked through a travel agent.

    Enjoy you holiday.

Ended up going to the airport & guess what?! - Flight cancelled.

There was no prior indication fo this right up to the time before I left for the airport.

Budget travel advised that this was due to Futura. We were put in a hotel for the follwing day & evening & received free meals. Got there eventually but 24hrs delayed in all.

Thanks for the previous help guys.

I don't think I'm entitled to any compo as a result of this.

No, I think the compo is the hotel they put you in and the free meals...

Might be worth sending an e-mail/letter. Might get a voucher for something or other
