Looking back on youtube of part of the 2003 VMA awards hosted by Chris Rock, and then looking at this years awards really shows how much that awards show has gone downhill. Big venues like Radio City in New York really gave the show more of a kick. The set that they used this year looked more like a big disco filled with the prawn sandwich brigade!:D
The whole production this year just looked dull uninspiring and over scripted-Russell Brand excepted:p.

In comparison the EMA's seem to hold on to that bid loud arena feel. Last years awards in the olympiahalle in Munich was right on the money I thought

well it did look strange , a very small venue but when you see them using the sets outside i thought it was different.

yeah first thing I noticed when I started watching it was the size of the room!!

It was like an oversized gaff's living room rather than an awards venue. They even had the BBQ furniture chairs lol :pac:

Well the music is competely ****, so venue hardly matters now does it? ;)
