Ok this is really starting to get on my nerves.

Every time I turn on the computer and go into my email (msn) for the 1st time a dialog pops up asking me to choose from one of my dial up connections( I left them on there for emergency in case broadband fails sometime)

I have broadband so I don't need this stupid dialog popping up asking me to choose a dial up connection.

I think my msn explorer email application on my computer connects to internet explorer so I guess it could be a problem with my internet explorer 7 settings.

I'm using windows xp by the way.

    Can anyone help?

    Cheers.

Next time it happens click settings and set it to never dial a connection (hopefully your broadband doesn't require pppoe dialling but we'll solve this if needeed)

    Also run a spyware/virus scan.
You might have become infected with an older virus, etc that is trying to connect to the net the old way. This happens due to it now outdated creation but is still trying to connect to the net the old fashioned way, as it was told/meant to do when first created.

I would suggest the free but VERY good tool ad-aware available here: http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
Free and one of the two top best in the world.

Actually I think I have figured out what it is it's autodial.

I went into settings on this dialog and have ticked 'disable autodial while I am logged on' so hopefully that should get rid of it.
