hi, i want to get a really good digital camera! i travel alot and rarely take any photos... i want to make it a hobby so when i do travel its second nature, im willing to spend pretty much up to 1500euro because i see it as an investment!

Wait for the canon 50d to come out next month. It will be a brilliant camera and should be rugged enough for travel. Supposedly it has some environmental protection ie tighter seals and rubber rims on doors... And then all you need is a lens or two...
