Looking at a new mondeo, LX trim would do me but just heard about the new low emmissions engine; 1.8 TDCi Duratorq diesel - ECOnetic

    http://www.ford.ie/ns7/allnewmondeo/co2_mdo/co2_model_mdo_diesel/-/-/-/-

This is available on the Zetec only?
I spend about 5k pa on diesel so this would save about 500 in fuel and 140 in tax.
I'm determined to get into this arena, but don't wanna spend 30k, and need a full size car for the mileage..and alternatives you can think of?
