i have been thinking for about a year now about quitting my job in nursing as i find it quite stressful hard work and physically my back isn't up for it anymore. i am qualified for two and a half years but have been in the area for about seven years as care assistant and working through college. i am about to start a course in counselling that will take about four years or so part time . but problem is i need to work aswell. i have no experience in an office but am computer literate as it was my right hand all the way through college. would anyone be able to give advice on a type of job i could do outside of nursing till i finish my course in counselling thanking you.

It all depends on how much money you need to earn while studying and how much free time you have to work. When you have that you can decide what to do, but right now you dont know much about the course. It may require you to attend classes 9-5 mon-fri leaving you very little free time

    1. Receptionist?
    2. Telephone sales?

I know it's hard to get into Temping but there are some good recruiters who don't mind training you or giving you your first temping job.

I am suggesting these two because they don't require you to be on your feet 9-5, would put more suggestions if i come across any.

What i did when i was in full time college was weigh how much money i needed a month(i got monthly allowance from my folks) and do my hours according to what i the money i needed to make.

dont think i would be good at telesales. all i can do is go into recruitment and give it a shot i suppose. Id say i would need to earn about 25k as college fees are about 4.5k and rent and living. im 26 so i would feel very guilty asking my parents for money have not done that in such a long time dont think i owuld like to ask them now like to keep my independence.
i could try to see if temping in doctors offices or chemists jobs.
