Hard to pick a winner, I think a "place bet" on Conduit would be hard to beat.
Washington Irvine has done good work on soft/heavy ground the conditions in Doncaster are officially soft, the weather forcast is dry today, showers Thurdsay, fine Friday and rain Saturday, so overall prolly still soft for the race.

I think Frozen Fire is too short, the Irish Derby was almost a farce and I wouldn';t fancy him to win if it was run again. O'Brien also seems worried about his stamina so at 9/4 he'd not for me

The form horse IMO is look here, altho the value has been snapped up. The Oaks form is rock solid and she should have no problem with the trip

The leger seems to often thrown up a lot well thought of horses who fail to do much so in terms of a bet I'm going to chance a small each way on Washington Irving. This horse has always been well thought of and was apparently the #1 Ballydoyle Derby horse coming into the spring. His form this year is decent, it was certainly no disgrace to be beaten by Casual Conquest at leopardstown but it was his last run at leopardstown that impressed me. He was 2nd behind a very good yardstick in More's wells (who ran well over an inadequate 10f in an albeit below par Irish Champion). However he looked beaten turning for home to stay on for a good second. he looks an out and out slogger and the trip and ground will be no problem. There is the obvious worry that he's not good enough but i reckon 25/1 with the Magic Sign is a more than fair price
