Burn from card directly to disk?

    Hi guys,

I am looking for a way to burn from a camera card directly to a disk, without using a computer of any kind.

Basically I am in a position where i need to take photographs and burn a copy straight away. The reason it has to be done without a computer is that, if they are done without a computer, in a court of law it can be said they were edited/tampered/changed.

I have found a few items on the net, but nothing in Ireland. Has anyone seen these available here or can anyone point me in the right direction with a make and model.

    Thank you

that doesn't really make sense as you can transfer pictures from a pc to a media card

Ive seen a kodak solution, but it was in boots. You stick in the memory card and 10 mins later a cd with the pics pops out. Not very home friendly i'd imagine.

yes i understand what you mean.

when i take a picture on a camera, it will have a time stamp. from there i want to copy from card directly onto a disk without using a pc. the disk will have a time that is was created at burned into it as well.

all im looking for is to be pointed in the right direction. can anyone help?

Yes of course. The model i found is, as far as i know, the only model widely accepted for 'police' use. (police use just means that the disks will be accepted as locked and tamper proof when burned if it has to be used in a court of law)

Its a DIGIMAGIC DM220. There is not alot on the net about them.

I sourced it through the UK from a distributor because im getting them for a customer and is considerably cheaper than retail. From my research the only place in Ireland that sells them retail in Conn's Cameras in Dublin @ 260inc VAT

If someone wants to get a couple of them they can PM me and i might be able to help out, point them in the right direction.
