So, yesterday - my O/H was in the Internet Cafe (as you do) and was chatting the Owner.

This Guy appears up to pay his bill for the few minutes he was on the computer, it totals €0.60 c

He begins to complain about the price...
Apperantly this guy does this every time he comes in. So yesterday the owner just told him he didn't want his custom anymore.

What would you have said? yore ma? his ma? our ma (plural)

what would you have called this person 60 votes

The owner is in his right to tell the customer he's not welcome. I'd do the same in his position.

    A new sign is required.

Internet access €1.00 minimum charge per 15mins
Arguing the cost of internet €5.00 minimum charge, in advance

Gently and politely, of course. I have had to do this with a customer who repeatedly queried service charges, yet kept requesting same. I gave him his last service on the house on condition he agreed never to call me again. Of course he will call again, and this time be asked to pay up front and in full - including the one on the house.

He wasn't "local" to the area... maybe they give stuff away where he lives?

    60 cents wouldn't even buy a decent pack a crisps!! :)

i work in a job where I have to speak tothe public a lot and theres always one that will argue every price they get. offer them 50% off, they want 60%. Its 20 euro, they want it for 15.

The owner was dead right to tell to go bother someone else some customers are just not worth the trouble

I always say that if I ever have my own company I will have zero tolerance to rude customers and people demanding discounts and freebies for no reason. In fact I think I would have application forms to apply to be a customer and the anti rudeness policy would be documented in the Ts &Cs!
having had the joy of working in tech support before I am stunned at how many people think 'I want therefore i should get...for free....now'

theres a guy who posts on consumer issues, who claims he regularly phones up aldi/lidl to complain about their prices. ffs, grow up! you're not going to get much cheaper than aldi/lidl.
some people have too much time on their hands and too little to worry about

Contrary to popular opinion, the customer is not always right.

I'd tell him fukc off too.

I'd say that the (ex-)customer is a man of principle.

I'd also say that the owner should make certain that his fire policy is up to date.

    Pennymarkt are cheaper!!

I'd politely tell the customer for F off and if he kicked up a fuss then I'd tell him I know his "History"!
