Every year there's complaints about not being able to view your timetables outside of college. I think their thinking is that if you don't know what you have then it's about time you came in!

I'm not siding with the college though since the timetables change so regularly at the start of the year. It'd be nice to be able to check before you actually go in if you still have class.

Honestly why won't anyone know their timetable? I usually write it down you know like they do in the High School days :)

Main reason we didn't know ours was because the damn thing kept changing.

Thats my excuse for abismal attendance

Its not that i won't know my timetable, its the fact that it changes and if i haven't got class on fridays sometimes i'll have to go in just to check timetable, which happened quite a few times last year

You'd think it would be a relatively simple thing to do. I remember last year driving up from enniscorthy on Monday mornings only to arrive and discover that the timetable had been changed. This usually resulted in sitting around for hours waiting for class. Maybe even an automatic email notification of timetable changes could be implemented...

There's a way around this problem, but it involves accessing the college server machines through UNIX from your home computer. As such, it's a bit inconvenient.

or when our linux server becomes workable, contact it via the medium of the PuTTy, and do what you need to do. i have discuss them allow class timetables outside the college, and the answer i got back, was, "security concern". How? because of the node its on. but try discussing with them about putting it on a secure node, thats craziness man!

so anyone got the timetable yet?
How can you access them from the college computers, if our login details don't even work..

s4dd had this implemented on the netsoc website back in the day.
www.bitbucket.ie was available from anywhere (inside or outside the college) and he had a link to timetables.

Cos by the time you've written it down, timetable has changed, the rooms are different, the teacher has been replaced, and instead of a 2 hour sleep in, your test is at 9, and not 11...

Nevermind online timetables, when I was there, they had a tough time having correct offline tables :(

server should be online in the next day or two.....sort the online timetable outside the college

Now would be a good time to get those pesky timetables outside of college. They're changing as of this evening some time.
