I was looking for "lifestyle" speakers maybe a year ago. Didn't get to hear them but read a lot of reviews, group tests etc and the general opinion of the M Cubes was that they looked well but were flawed, decidedly middle of the road. Do a search at avforums.com.

I've a set and they are very good for home cinema - a big improvement on the AVS series, but not so good for music/audio. If you wnat something with a small footprint an a high wife acceptance factor then these are the way to go. They can be bought pretty cheaply on eBay.

Better than the m-cude, but have a bigger footprint.

thats right, ebay, it was actually £499 + £38 postage now with the sterling so high its a good time to buy. the seller is avbristol, and i had no problems with them. the postage was reasonable considering the box was big and very heavy. i only hooked them up to make sure they worked on a temperory set up it was impressive, the highs were sweet, the bass was responsive and punchy. some times there was a little to much around the 400 hz mark, im no anorak mind. it was hooked up to an onkyo 606 i think it was, which i got for about £340. the whole lot is in the attic no while the new house it being built. av bristol says they only have 2 sets left in ivory at the same price.

hope this has been some help to you.

I used Frontier Leisure, and shipping was free (or close to).
