I've been looking at a dell until i found a thread here about komplett and their builds, I didnt know komplett done this . Heres something i threw together but couple of things i'm not sure about.

    KOMPLETT™ Gamer i-20 Black

    Article number: 325744
NZXT ALPHA Black w/Window side panel,
    Corsair Powersupply 550W Bulk, black,
    Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R, P35, Socket-775,
    Intel Core™ 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz, Socket
    Corsair TWIN2X 6400C5DHX DDR2, 4096MB
    EVGA GeForce 9600GT 512MB GDDR3, SSC,
    Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB SATA2
Sony NEC Optiarc DVD±RW burner AD-7200A,
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Eng
    PC box
Card reader 51-in-1 black, 3½ internal
    Stock status: 1 stocked
    €845

I know nothing about motherboards or overclocking so i'm just looking for a decent pc that will run Football manager quickly and a few other games and internet surfing and downloading.

If i dont select a sound card does that mean there will be No sound at all???? And would the 3.ghz e8400 processer be better than the 2.4ghz quad for my use?

    Thanks.

Yep, no soundcard means no sound.

If you choose no sound card, you will still have integrated sound on the motherboard, you will have sound unless the mobo doesnt have a integrated sound, which is not the case here as that model does have realtek integrated audio

So would a sound card be a waste of money then? Any advice on the processor? 2.4 quad or 3.0 dual?

I'd go with the quad core, the difference won't be that noticable to a dual core. But for general gaming and desktopping I'd have to go with the quad core.

It'd perform better than a dual core in areas of multiple programs running at the same time, i.e if you had music playing while running a game the quad core would be a mile ahead.

If it costs a significant amount more for the quad core I'd forget about it. The results aren't that phoenomenal. Most games were optimized for a dual core but im sure future games will be developed for the quad core.

Yes, unless you really need a dedicated sound card (Have expensive speakers and are audiophile) the integrated should do you grand, I'd go with the Quad core myself, the dual will be quicker due to the higher clock speeds however the quad is great for multi tasking and in a way is faster in games coz of the additional cores you have,

only abot 20euro in the difference. Dont really do much multi taking but if the quad is going to have the same performence as the dual then i'd probably be better with that. The pc i put together with komplett is 850.

Here the dell i was looking at, Only €710 Just worried about the graphic card. Its the only one available,

Komplett with the 9600GT and Quad core looks like a better deal imo...

There will be a LAN connection on the motherboard, this is all you need for broadband. Just have a wire from your router to the computer.... For wireless you'll need a wireless card/wireless usb connectivity both are quite cheap and can be bought after you get the machine.
