Cookies in Google search results

I recently got fed up of deleting cookies on my browser. Some cookies I don't mind being there but I have started rejecting all cookies I don't want. It's a bit painful sometimes the way Firefox deals with this but that's another matter.

I did a search on Google (for cheese strings) and when the Google results appeared I saw that the top result was trying to put a cookie in my browser. How the fup do they do this?!

Interesting, I wonder if this will slightly speed up my searches as my connection is slow. Thanks a mil cgarvey.

Dunno what you mean by slow, but on 12-16Kbps dialup, it certainly makes a difference alright. Dunno will you notice that on a "slow" broadband connection, though.
