Here are a few I took while interrailing recently, feel free to point out mistakes that seem really basic 'cause I'm a bit of a noob.

First one: taken in Budapest at some festival that we missed. Just got a shot of this guy cookin' some grub and we had to run for a train.

Second one: Taken in Krakow, not sure of the story behind the statue but I thought it made good photographic material.

Third one: Taken in croatia at night time by a backlit map.

Fourth one: Taken in Berlin Aquarium

Fifth one: Taken with my camera phone, the composition ain't the best but I'll chuck it in anyway.

Thanks in advance for all C&C.

Love the aquarium one, got that deep space feel to it :-)

the first one definately suits the sepia tones to tell its story...... yer mans sunglasses give away the decade tho :)

All in all very good shots and you definately have an eye for it :)

The Jellyfish and the backlit map are really nice, looked like a good holiday?

I really like em. Can't offer much more in the way of C&C really. You do seem to have an eye for it as already mentioned. Keep it up.:)

Yep very good collection of shots.. You obviously do have a eye for what makes a solid shot. Like the Hand Statue shot and the jelly fish. All well exposed and composed.. Keep it up!

As already said some really good shots here.

Love the statue shot. Especially like the map shot, shows good imagination.

Definitely keep up the good work.

#1 Like the overall feel of the shot. It's a pity the cooks face is lost in shadow, if you have taken this RAW you may be able to bring some of that back. There is also a lot of clutter which is a bit distracting. Maybe a tighter crop would work better. Left side just next to the cook, top to get rid of the wire & left just next to the garlic chain. Well seen.

#2 Like the contrast & the angle. I think it would have been a stronger image if the whole shadow was included.

#3 Doesn't do much for me I am afraid. Sorry

#4 & #5 Cannot see these images .... maybe blocked at work.

Yeah, I took that set in RAW, but I'm a bit clueless when it comes to editing. Just about figured out how to edit contrast, saturation etc, but I haven't a clue how to confine it to one area, like selecting just the guys face and editing that alone. I'm using GIMP, not really sure how good that is for photo editing!

Thanks again for all the comments guys :) It's great to get feedback from photographers who I respect.

    Looking at the others now.

#4 is really nice. Maybe crop about 1/4 off the base would look better but well done.

#5 Great feel to this shot. Well seen. I do find the figure in red half in the frame to be a distraction & detracts from the image. You maybe able to clone that out.

absolutely love the first one, a proper 'slice of life over there' shot I think the jellyfish one is an interesting one too.

second one doesn't do anything for me as a photograph perhaps with some background information it might spark some interest.

third one: maybe it's just the fact that it's small but looks soft the outline should be sharper I think

tbh i think they are all good but so I just picked out what I though was lacking in those 2 photos.
    :)
