    Starting my last year of college and stumped by what I should do my Final year hypothesis on. I spent 8 months on work experience in Lansdowne Road. Anyone any ideas?

    I went to an interesting lecture in Cork on the new Thomond Park and two points that would benefit from further study would be on the dynamic loading of stadia, what movement is acceptable such that people dont get "sea sick" in the stands and groups of people apply loads to the structure. There are also different loadings if the stadium is to host concerts.

    The second aspect was how the wind applied loads to the main structure, but this was especially interesting to Thomond with the large arch. They set up a scale model to monitor the effects.

    Just some ideas in relation to stadia
