    Hey,
I'm starting college in a few weeks and i want to buy a good laptop. I dont need good graphics for games or anything just a reliable laptop for note taking, studying and good wifi access. Im trying to decide between the sony vaio and dell xps range. Ive just come across the vostro A860 and was wondering which of the three would suit me best.

It really comes down to budget, The XPS would be the higher end of things, whereas the Vostro a860 is the lowest. That being said, for your needs, it wouldn't be worth while spending €800/1000 on a machine just for office work and web browsing.
So if we could just get a few answers,
    *What's your budget?
*How mobile does the laptop have to be? Will it be carried around all day? or spend most of it's time on a desk?
