RTÉ announce three live eircom League games

    From rte.ie Tuesday, 9th September, 2008

    The Dublin derby between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians on 26 September will be broadcast live on RTÉ Two, it was confirmed today.

    RTÉ has selected three eircom League of Ireland matches for live broadcast during the last week of September and the first two weeks of October.

    Following the meeting of the Hoops and the Gypsies on 26 September, RTÉ Two will be at Finn Park on 3 October to show Finn Harps taking on St Patrick’s Athletic.

    The following week, on 10 October, the meeting of Drogheda United and Bohemians will be broadcast live.

    All three games will also be streamed live worldwide on www.rte.ie.

    Great news, well done RTE in showing Irish football, giving people in places like Kerry, Mayo and carlow a chance to see live professional Irish football. :)

    All these games are meaningless though. Trust RTE to wait too long to show games at the "business end" of the season. Contempt for the league as usual
