    Great pictures... they really do look amazing from that vantage point.

    Just a question though, why do the clouds on the outer fringes of the hurricane, look different from their opposite side. Is it due to faster moving winds or something?

    As seen in this pic, there is less cloud on the left side, but gradually builds up as you look anticlockwise.

    Seems to be dry air on the west side (left) of the storm. Looking at the outflow that storms structure seems to be holding fine untill the dry air gets in the mix and could weaken it. To the right(east side) it looks healthy with good outflow and no hint of shear winds aloft. Having said that, that looks like a healthy hurricane.
