    Hey all,

I have a cannon 350D and 300D but know very little about the smaller cameras eg. cannon ixus series, fujifilm finepix and kodak M.

I am just wondering if someone could suggest a suitable camera. I will be using this camera for holidays such as skiing and nights out where it is handier than bringing out a heavy cannon 350D with 70 - 300mm lens :D

I was thinking along the line of:
    Canon Ixus 80 or 90 IS 8MP and 10MP.
    Kodak M1073 10MP.
    Fujifilm Finepix J10 8MP.

Needless to say the cheaper the better :o
If someone could suggest one of these or similar that would be great.

    Thanks,
    G

Your best bet is to check www.dpreview.com which has the most comprehensive database of camera reviews on the web. Personally I'd go with a Canon compact.

I have a Canon Ixus 70, which is a year old and it takes some great photos for a compact. But a friend of mine got an Ixus 85 IS with a case and 1gb SD card for €279 in an unnamed camera shop on Liffey Street. I'm sure you could get it cheaper online though. Maybe pixmania.ie?

It's a very nice camera though.
