Hen Party - Looking for Day Spa Suggestions / Recommendations Please!

    Hi everyone!

I'm currently trying to organise my best friend's hen party.

The general plan is: Spa treatments during the day (for those who want them), followed by cocktails, dinner etc. in town that night.

Venues for Cocktails, Dinner etc. are pretty much sorted. I am just looking for suggestions for a spa! It would preferably have to be in South Dublin, and cater for a group as large as 10.

I have found a few on the web, but was hoping for some personal recommendations.

    So....

Has anyone else been on a Day Spa with a Hen Party, or even just a big group of friends? If so, any suggestions or pointers would be welcome!

    Thanks.

I've never been as part of a hen party but have gone for a spa day a few times. Have been to the Buff Day Spa three times and found the staff lovely, really helpful and the treatments were bliss.
I was recently at the Mandela Spa to get my eyebrows threaded and was rather impressed with it so you could try there too. Both places are in town though, South Kings Street and Dawson Street respectively.

    Heya,

Just had my Hen over the weekend, and part of it was going to the Buff Day Spa. It's lovely, the staff are grand the treatments are lovely. My one complaint would be the lack of a private shower :( In terms of location though, it's ideal as it's right beside the Gaiety in town, so very central in case you're going out for dinner/drinks afterwards.

    Good luck with the organising!

Hi, can anyone help me – I have to organise a hen for my future sister in law, she wants a spa weekend. I was thinking of self catering wit a spa on-site, has anyone any ideas where to go for that. There would also have to be a town with good atmosphere!!!!

Thanks for your help in advance :)

mistee, you're posting in too many threads. Anyone who follows this forum will get notification of your post anyway, and could also be getting confused as to which one of your many posts they've commented on.

We ended up going to Coolbawn Quay. They do a 2 day spa package. We got the 1 day because they had a wedding on, but worked out better cos it was cheaper and suited more people in our party. The restaurant has amazing food. We stayed in their lovely, rustic but luxurious cottages.
The only thing, make sure you order breakfast for your cottage the day before. They didn't tell us we needed to do that beforehand, we just assumed they would do that as it's part of the package, and ended up having to go to have breakfast in the restaurant.
The spa area probably not the best I've been to, but if you ask them to make sure to heat it, I'm sure they'd oblige. I was frozen as we were there in the morning and they'd not got a chance to heat it yet. The surrounding area with the lake is beautiful though.
