    Hey,

    building my second HTPC.

Looking at a quad-LNB off a dish for free to air capture.

Thinking of 3x DVB-S cards and a DVB-T/Analog hybrid card (for RTE etc)

Can anyone recommend a good DVB-S card?

    tks,

    Stephen.

    I just got a Blackgold BGT3540 6 in 1 card.

It can give you 2 x DVB-S and either 2 Analog or 2 DVB-T feeds, depending on your preference.

    Wiggy,

I’m looking at getting that card myself, quick question, how does the VMC epg work with two different feeds? Does it combine all the channels into one epg regardless of their source?

    DMCK,

    I'd perhaps hold off.

The VMC EPG does indeed combine the channels - in the same way as SKY+ does.

However, there seems to be a driver issue that causes one of the DVB-S tuners to miss some channels. See here: http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=672054&page=35
