I replied to their text but didn't hear anything back. Did you get an email or a text confirming you got tickets?

I got a text from them a few days ago that I had to reply to with my friends name and number.
Then we both got a text this afternoon saying we had gotten tickets and it gave us the password.

Not sure how it works though, you reckon we have to show the text to them on the way in?
Or do they just have our names or something?

    I hate you.

Damn it - never got tickets, and I missed Jape at the Picnic so would have been great to see him with some free booze inside me. Free booze makes everything sound ten times better - that's a scientific fact.

Did he play "Jackies Army" again? That was amazing in the picnic but would hate if it became something he trotted out at every show.

You're gonna hate me even more now...we managed to get 3 of our friends in who never got the text either...we forwarded our text to them and they saved our names as "SOL"...hey presto :D:D:D

    Sorry Jeff!!!

I agree though, free beer makes everything sound better (although Jape was fantastic anyway!) :)

They had a catering van out in the bar area giving out free mexican food all night...and nutella crepes too. Yum :)

I'd only give the free nachos 9 out of 10 if that makes you feel any better??? haha :)

Jape is playing the Button Factory on 9th Oct according to his MySpace so you could catch him then...

He didn't play jackies army. He said it was a one time only thing. Button factory gig will be deadly. Dude gets better and better. Managed to get free beer the entire night but missed the food. Anyone know where the photos being taken ended up?

Good to hear. Thered be the danger of him getting a crowd on the novelty value of that if it became a staple of every show. Hope to catch the show at the Button factory. I was at his first show as Jape (support for Russian Futurists) and hes come a long way from then.

    When was that?

    Aug 15th 2006 I believe.

..Actually looks like it was the 10th. I was pretty sure it was advertised as his first gig at the time but now that I research it I cant find anything to say so. Was one of the earlier ones anyway.

Ah no I saw him loads of times as Jape before then. Sure he had two albums out as Jape at that stage. He used to play support to the Rednecks as Jape and I definitely saw him at least in 2005 back in Galway, although I'm sure he probably played live as Jape earlier than that.

No bother.. there was some hype about that particular gig though at the time. Might have been his first show with that particular band setup or something. Or more likely Im going senile in my old age. :pac:

Might have been his first with a band behind him or something.

Think the first gig might have been in the Music Centre at a Connect Four Orchestra gig, maybe Rednecks. C4O ain't played together in 6 years or so though.
