hey there sorry if this has been posted before.
basically missed my 1st choice by 10 points accepted my 3rd, now im here and i hate it. part of the reason i hate it is cuz its about 4 hours from home and i dont know anyone here. ive also found that the course isnt really what i thought it would be. :(
so anyway i was wondering if anyone could tell me if i drop out now and then reapply to the cao for a different course am i still eligible for free fees?

i really dont want to stay here but i wot be able to afford to go somewhere else next year if i have to pay the fees....

    Hey dragonfly,

If you drop out of your course after a few weeks/a month or so, you will still be eligible to free fees for every year if you go back to college. If you drop out after this timeframe, you will have to pay one half year's fees and then will have your 'free fees' as normal for the rest of your college.

It might be worth trying to transfer in to another course, by the way. Check with your internal college departments (Admissions Office, Students' Union, Tutor, Mentor, Department, Faculty etc.) for more information on this.

But if you're going to drop out, contact your mentor/tutor - if you were to just stop going to college, what proof would the college have that you wouldn't have attended after the date? So there's a form to fill out to drop out of college. If you don't go this route, it will get messy if you go back to college.
