Kind of alt/indie, but have a lot of other influences aswell (gospel, soul, country to name a few). I'm a big fan of their work, especially Nixon/ What another Man Spills/ Damaged. One of the few indie bands I'd listen to on a regular basis.

    Anyone else like them?

Yes, love Lambchop. They're great live. Hopefully the new album will be a bit livelier that the last couple.

I'd be another fan, too. If you haven't already heard them, you might enjoy listening to Calexico (try Feast of Wire), Iron and Wine (The Sheppard's Dog), Willard Grant Conspiracy (regard the End) and even some Bonnie 'Prince' Billy.

Yeah I listened Garden Ruin by Calexico, I don't know how that rates against the rest of their discography though.

I saw them live in Olympia a couple of years ago, part of the C'mon tour. Great show, sorry I missed them the last time they played here. They did a great version of Up With People to end the set, really got people going!

Lambchop are great - Nixon is a classic, ACM\NYCM and Damaged are also really excellent - nobody else really like them.

Couldn't recommend Feast of Wire enough, then.

If memory servers, I seem to recall some of the same faces playing with all 3 bands (Lambchop, Calexico and Iron and Wine) when I've seen them live. Come to think of it, Calexico and Iron and Wine directly collaborated on In the Reins.

Yeah lambchop's live set up is unusual to say the least. How many guitarists on last count? 5 or 6 or something?
