    1. Who is running the event (Hibernian Poker)
    2. The purpose of the event (commercial)
    3. Date and Location of event: Sunday 14th September, The LAVEY INN, Dublin Road, Cavan (10 minutes from Virginia, 30 minutes from Navan Town, 10 minutes from Cavan Town on the N3)
    4. Registration and Start time of event. reg 5pm, start 6pm SHARP
    5. Any prerequisites (member of club, which is free)
    6. How can tickets be purchased & is there a maximum number (players can pay on the day, maximum number is about 160, i would be confident of having at least 100 players on the day)
    7. Type of Tournament (NL Hold'em, 1 re-buy or top option)
    8. Cost of entry and any subsequent rebuys/top-ups etc. €70+€10 with 1 re-buy or top up option for €40
    9. Cost of registration €10 per player included in above price
    10. % of entry fee/rebuys/top-up going into Prize fund 100%
    11. Any guaranteed prize pool. YES. Minimum of €5,000 guaranteed, estimated prize pool €10,000
    12. If applicable, Number of re-buys allowed and over what time frame/blind levels. 1 for 1st 4 levels
    13. Starting Chips 10k + 1k bonus for players registered before 6pm
    14. Rebuy and Top-up chip amounts. 15k
    15. Blind levels, 30mins for length of tournament, blind levels may be replayed depending on big blind/average stack ratio
    16. Blind timeframes 50/100 100/200 200/400, (break for food and top up) 300/600, 400/800, 500/1000, 800/1500, 1000/2000, 1500/3000, 2000/4000, 2500/5000, 3000/6000, 4000/8000 etc
    17. Places being paid and if any prizes are other than cash. Minimum of top 10 getting cash prizes with a minimum 1st prize of €2,000. Top 3 players in this event will each receive tickets for this years Cavan Poker Open worth €300. 1st prize in the Cavan Poker Open is a guaranteed €25,000 with an estimated €90,000 in total prize money, the Cavan Poker Open is held in The CROVER HOUSE HOTEL, Mount Nugent on the 5th and 6th December 2008.
    17. Is food provided- Yes, finger food is provided for players during the top up period (end of level 3)
    18. Are there going to be dealers - no, it is initially a self dealt tournament with dealers being introduced after level 7 or 8.
    19. Will there be a documented list of rules yes
    20. Is there a tournament director yes

    Any boards.ie members registering for this event will recieve a €10 discount from their entry fee. This is the registration fee and does not effect the prize pool in any way.     Any players wishing to take a Killarney Poker Festival ticket instead of the Cavan Poker Open ticket may do so. There will also be single table, Killarney Poker Festival sit and goes on offer on the day. The single table Killarney satellites will cost €80 per player with 1 in every 7 players winning a €550 ticket for Killarney. Satellites start at 3pm on Sunday afternoon.

    goodluck with this on sunday Mick , i wont be over unfortunately as the better half is away for a wk in the sun and left me with the 2 nightmares. Goodluck to me .

    Sorry to hear u won't make it to the Lavey Damo, I think my next game is in the Meadowview on Monday 27th October (Bank Holiday) at 6pm. Same format as the above so keep that one free if u can.
    Tickets for CPO are going well, i've 44 out and 30 booked (with deposits paid) it picks up from here on in though, i'll be doing €30/€30 satellites from Tuesday week onwards every Tuesday. 1 in every 6 players getting a ticket (or cash alternative if they've already won one) balance of the cash going to the bubble. I'm hoping for a capacity crowd this year (200 players) and €90,000 in prize money, it cud be u.....
