on friday evenin i was headin back to newbridge from naas on the dual carriage way in a volvo fm9, just after willowbrook nursing home there was a fairly big flood coverin all of the inside lane so i pulled out into the fast lane,
i was checkin my mirrors and saw a gold car comin up the inside fast, i was nearly at the flood so put on my hazzards he didnt take a bit of notice and kept goin, i had to jam on the brakes and he didnt even miss the flood,
if i didnt brake he probably would of aquaplaned and straight out in front of me or else in to the ditch, it was a 08 sonata

I'd say count yourself lucky and be happy with it. There's so much that annoys me on the roads that i could just constantly have my hand on the horn. I say nothing, don't beep the horn, just motor on. By brother and a friend of mine on the other hand, would beep and shout with er... hand gestures until the cows come home.

more of these stories they go on forever

but heres mine last monday coming home from work sometime after 12 on the m9 some guy decided it'd be a great idea to sit in the overtaking lane doing 100kph and not move back to the inside lane with no cars in it, I decided feck it and went to go around him in the inside lane and as I did he moved into the inside lane, I jammed on and blew the horn at him, but he narrowly missed me, eventually when i got over the shock I overtook him in the overtaking lane and he had the roof light on and was texting away, seemed oblivious to what had just happened.

I was coming from the Intel side of the Leixlip Interchange on the M4 this morning, intending to go right to take the M7 southbound. Basically I was going around a very big roundabout and taking the last exit before I would have come back to where I started, naturally I went into the right lane as I approached and indicated right. Some moron in a black Corolla thought he would gain huge advantage by driving around the roundabout from the same point of entry to the same exit in the left lane, undertaking and cutting in between me and the car ahead of me. I got down the ramp to the M7 and he disappeared in my rear view anyway. Stupid and pointless, the mind wobbles ((c) Kelly Bundy)

I've often thought to myself on a Motorway or dual carriageway when I see an overtaking lane hogger, 'I wonder would the Gardai do anything if they saw the lane hogger to get them to move over'. Well, on the Ashbourne bypass the other day there was a lane hogger and a Garda car. The only problem was, the Garda was the lane hogger. He sat in the overtaking lane doing 100kph the whole way from Ashbourne to the Blanch exit and forced everyone behind him to do the same speed. Now either he was being a complete pr*ck about it and hoping someone would undertake so he could do them or he is just like half the other drivers in this country and hasn't a clue how to use our roads.

Coming off the M50 north heading for the airport then on to the airport slip road along side the M1, you will get side swiped by taxis every fcuking time. I can forgive tourists, or people not from dublin, but taxi drivers will just move left into the slip road never using the indicator, all they have to do is speed up or slow down slightly and manoever into the gap in front or behind me.

Coming through Phibsboro on Friday night at around 8pm, i had a car up my ass, as we got to the broadstone traffic lights, he went up on the footpath to pass me out.

i wouldnt mind but i ended up right behind him the whole way to queen street, it is not as if he made any mad advantage.

the more the drive, the more afraid i get tbh
