I'm looking for a Wall-Mounted Speaker Attenuator to use as a Guitar Amp Power Attenuator. It'll go between a guitar amp and the speaker itself to make it quieter. Does anyone have anything like this? Do you install them? I need on that's rated at 4,8 or 16ohms. Do you sell them? Does anyone sell them in dubtown? Radionics don't seem to have one. Neither do maplins.

There;s one in radioshack but I'm impatient and I don't want to wait!!!

    Something lIke this :

I can buy an 10ulator kit from the US. I could get a wall mounted attenuator that would work from the US also.

I"d prefare to contain my carbon footprint a bit and buy a bit more locally.

    Thanks.
Appreciate genine solutions only. NO. I'm not interested in Line pod 6. No, I do not want a pedal. Yes, I want pure Les Paul special through a valve amp. Yes, I want the valve glowing. Yes, I will rock.

    Any ideas?

FWIW I got one from a guy on EvilBay. See this thread:

Get a Weber MASS from the US. The best you'll get around here is a Marshall Powerbrake or something equally junk.

If you're genuinely concerned about carbon footprint, get a local tech to install a (post phase inverter) master volume instead. Using an attenuator is just pissing energy away by definition. ;)

    Thanks for the replys.

I have a epiphone valve junior Combo.

Should I be looking at a 25 or 50 watt? The Mini mass looks a good price.

As I recall, the epiphone valve junior is a 5W single-ended amp, so 15-25W should be fine for that.
